~ p.s. i’ve noticed that some will say “for entertainment purposes only” regarding tarot and tarot reading. for my part, i don’t make any suggestion that tarot is here to tell the future. it produces great coincidences that allow us to discuss what’s ordinarily too scary or uncertain to bring to the surface. if any future is revealed, it’s just one of the many futures we already carry with us in our own minds, consciously or unconsciously. that doesn’t seem like ‘only’ entertainment to me, but it’s also not at all the fraudulent thing that the phrase is meant to defend against accusations of.
